Local startup wins at 43North Competition in Buffalo, NY, USA

After months of preparation and hard work, we are excited to share that client Suncayr has won $500,000 at 43North! The cash prize is accompanied by rent-free space in the 43North incubator in Buffalo, as well as help from mentors and tax-free benefits under New York’s “Start-Up NY” program.

“We are building an inclusive culture of entrepreneurism,” said John Gavigan, the contest’s executive director. “Tonight is not just about 43North, but a celebration of innovation and entrepreneurship in Buffalo.”

Suncayr was one of five companies to receive $500,000 in the competition, with first, second, and third place winners taking home larger prizes.

43North is the $5 million startup competition, awarding cash prizes to some of the best entrepreneurs and startups from around the world. 43North winners also receive free incubator space in Buffalo for one year, guidance from mentors in related fields, and access to other business incentive programs such as START-UP NY. 43North operates through the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo’s Buffalo Billion initiative and grants from Empire State Development and the New York Power Authority.
