We were pleased to welcome our supportive community to a night of innovation. Our presenters worked hard the month prior to perfect and polish their 5-minute pitches; the diversity of their companies and products was truly reflective of the opportunity that exists in Hamilton!

  • Sarrah Lal of Kinly
    Kinly allows families to integrate social media, text and video-based content sharing platforms with any television set, bridging the intergenerational digital communications divide and eliminating seniors’ accessibility barriers to using modern technology.
  • Jen Stokes of Chez Dine
    Chez Dine connects foodies with a variety of dining options and experiences embracing the sharing economy model. What Airbnb is to accommodation and Uber is to transportation, Chez Dine is to food. Find in-home dining options, homemade take out, delivery, and more with their mobile app.
  • Rick Gladwin of Wolf Soccer Tech
    Wolf Soccer Tech builds products to take soccer training to the next level. Their flagship product, the XBounder, is the first fully portable soccer rebounder.
  • Jennifer Burkitt of Log Cabin
    Log Cabin Productions is an award winning, digital production company focused on experiential design. From strategy work to game development, they produce story driven games and videos across all platforms for kids, parents, and the education sector.
  • Ezzeldin Tahoun of ezSec
    ezSec offers an open source, easy-to-use, portable router that protects and encrypts your data for maximum privacy and security on the go.
  • Tara McEwen of HomeShare Alliance
    HomeShare Alliance’s mission is to help both homeowners and renters find a more affordable housing solution. They provide a thorough vetting process for shared living that offers convenience and safety while striving for the best compatibility match.
  • Jason Vieira of SquareSelect
    SquareSelect is an auction website that has gamified the online shopping experience. It’s traditional e-commerce shopping with a twist of entertainment and gaming. Through its unique Grid Auction platform, users can experience potential savings of up to 95% off electronics, household items, and gift cards.
  • Emma Harris of healthypets.io
    healthypets.io is a SaaS platform connecting veterinarians with pet parents on-demand through video chat. From the comfort of home, pet parents can source trustworthy answers to their pet health and wellness concerns and questions, and veterinarians can practice outside of traditional clinic hours.

Our judges had some fun asking questions but also made important comments about the business components in each presenter’s pitch. The judges included: Charlie Difalco of Meridian Credit UnionDaniel Kube of Angel One, and Steven Leach of Ridout & Maybee LLP.
