About us

PragmaClin Research Inc., established in 2020, is a Canadian health-tech innovator headquartered in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador. Focused on transforming the assessment and management of Parkinson’s Disease (PD) and other neurological disorders, the company has developed PRIMS (Parkinson’s Remote Interactive Management System), a cutting-edge digital platform.

PRIMS is an advanced tool utilizing machine learning and 3D depth cameras to objectively assess motor symptoms of Parkinson’s Disease. This technology addresses the challenges of traditional, subjective, and infrequent PD evaluations by providing precise and consistent measurements. The system facilitates rural and in-clinic assessments, offering patients and clinicians improved access to timely and reliable data. PRIMS’ integration of the MDS-UPDRS international standard ensures compatibility with existing clinical practices while delivering enhanced insights for treatment planning.
