Congratulations to The Forge client StrongBó Agritech on winning two of five awards during Munster Agricultural Society’s Cork Summer Show held online on July 4-5, 2020. StrongBó won the “Best Agri Tech Award” and the “Best Overall” Agri Innovation award. In addition, Michael McInerney, CEO and Founder of StrongBó was awarded the “Young Agri Innovator Award.” Strongbó aims to revolutionise the beef production industry by creating a data-based value chain and information network to connect the industries involved in the beef production sector.
“Take Strava, a well-known fitness app, their information alone makes athletes faster. It is so effective, that this information is banned in competitive sports. Imagine if the world’s beef producers had access to comparable performance information,” explained Micheál McInerney, CEO and founder of StrongBó. Farms that implement StrongBó’s technologies receive real-time illness notifications, live production metrics, the ability to validate dietary advice, and information to ensure they are selling their livestock at the best possible time.
The Cork Summer Show has taken place over 200 years in Cork, Ireland. This year was the first time they held the show virtually, attracting hundreds of online submissions.
