Martha Breithaupt, Partner
Clean Economy Tax Credits, BDO Canada
In her role as Clean Economy Tax Credit leader in Canada as well as the Founder and Director of the educational video series, State of Science, Martha has championed innovative research and industrial capacity in Canada for nearly 25 years. Her educational startup has raised awareness about cutting-edge advancements and their impact on various industries while as an advisory firm Partner, she has directly helped secure millions of dollars in funding for her clients.
Martha has a Bachelor of Science degree, in Biochemistry and Business, from the University of Waterloo and her Practitioner level coaching certification from the European Mentoring and Coaching Council. Additionally, she has completed the ICD’s Director Education Program, solidifying her expertise in board governance.
Martha has served as a Board member at non-profits and a $500MM professional services and advisory firm and plays a pivotal role in leading multi-disciplinary engineering and finance teams, as well as mentoring students, managers, partners and practice leaders. She was honored with the University of Waterloo’s Young Alumni Award for her contributions to the field of science and business.
Currently, Martha serves as the Chair of the International Women’s Forum Waterloo chapter, advocating to advance women’s leadership across community, industry and government.
