We became environmentalists by accident and pledged to reduce single-use plastics. Over the past four years, we’ve been pioneers in Canada’s reusable packaging industry, launching Wisebox in 2019—a groundbreaking pilot for reusable takeout packaging by deposit.
In 2021, we introduced Inwit, Canada’s First Zero Waste Takeout Platform, earning recognition among the top 15 Tech Solutions globally for building low-carbon cities. In 2022, we pivoted to address the B2B sector of catering, and successfully achieved our sales objective of CAD $120K in 2023.
Working with industry leaders in Toronto such as CBC, Labatt, Procter & Gamble, we share a vision to make 85% of team meetings in Toronto zero waste by 2025. And the University of Toronto has just signed our pledge to achieve this target! So far we have saved 2.8 tons of CO2, and diverted about 2 tons of waste from landfills. Achieving this goal will make an important impact for the communities in Toronto.
