About us

Artificial Intelligence Imaging Sensors, otherwise known as AiimSense is an early stage medical technology company. It was established by technical founders from the University of Waterloo in 2019. AiimSense develops portable brain scanners to turn expensive head scans with specialized procedures into real-time monitoring routine and preventative care at patient’s bedside.
AiimSense brain scanner works based on electromagnetic tomography, which is a novel complementary technique to the conventional modalities. The device supports physicians in diagnosis and monitoring of traumatic brain injuries and stroke. The competitive advantages of the AiimSense point of care detector to CT and MRI includes: 1. portability and accessibility (10X smaller), 2. affordability (10X more cost-effective), 3. real time-monitoring, 4. safe radiation, and 5. ease of operation.
