Canadian Startup Enhanced Medical Nutrition (“EMN”) Completes Oversubscribed Seed Round Funding

EMN, a Canadian medical nutrition company, has raised a $1.2 Million seed round led by several prominent angel investors from the Greater Toronto Area and leading medical device distributors based in Texas and Illinois.

“We are thrilled to have strategic investors on board to support our growing commercial operations in North America and Southeast Asia,” said Eric Zimmerman, Co-founder & CEO of EMN. “Our team has the passion and the resources required to help onboard distribution networks and clinical programs that are driving surgical quality improvement. We’re now positioned to accelerate the standard of care for patients and hospitals globally.  This investment validates the opportunity and market need.”

About EMN:

Founded in 2016, Enhanced Medical Nutrition Inc. (“EMN”)  http://enmednut.com develops and commercializes innovative medical nutrition to help patients prepare better and recover faster from surgery. Similar to a marathon, preparing for an invasive surgical procedure requires a logical approach that leads to a significant impact on individual outcomes and healthcare system economics. PREcovery® is an evidence-based preoperative carbohydrate beverage designed to reduce the length of stay and improve a patient’s experience when undergoing surgery.

EMN’s clinical nutrition pipeline also includes products that improve protein metabolism and immune function, supporting a patient’s journey leading up to and following surgery.
