Becoming an (Inclusive) Early-Stage Investor: One Day Bootcamp
Women-owned businesses only receive 2% of global venture investment and make up 27% of Canada’s angel investor community. And yet, 63% of women-led businesses outperform their male counterparts.
Aspiring investors can’t come together to grow, fund, and champion the feminist businesses our world needs most if they don’t know where to start. The solution starts with education.
What does it mean to make an investment? How do you find a worthy business? We’re here to demystify your entire investment journey.
This one-day intensive bootcamp introduces you to investing in innovative startups at the earliest stage so you can invest with impact. Built by women for everyone, you’ll look through an inclusive women and gender-diverse lens to build your early-stage investing toolkit. You’ll walk away learning:
- The fundamentals of early-stage investing
- How to conduct due diligence on a start-up
- The basics of venture math
- How to develop an investment thesis aligned with your goals
- How to evaluate a pitch during a live pitch session
