MIP Encourages Business Innovation for Global Solution

MIP Encourages Business Innovation for Global Solution – LiONS LAIR 2021

Successful business leaders understand the importance of learning how to navigate a tumultuous business environment. Their readiness or lack thereof to respond during a transitional period, is likely to determine business success or failure. We can safely admit that today, with the presence of COVID-19, the entire world is in a transitional period and our best response for business success is to innovate to provide global solutions.

This year’s hosting of the LiONS LAIR competition will once again explore the authentic talents of Hamilton’s business leaders.  Many have argued that the world has accelerated to the future and a majority of its business models have been disrupted as a result. There is certainly opportunity in chaos. It is our hope at McMaster Innovation Park (MIP) that the geniuses behind the start-ups participating in this year’s competition will capitalize on this knowledge by observing global business trends and developing relevant and timely solutions that are marketable.

In spite of the circumstances surrounding the event, we are still confident that under the mentorship and training of the Innovation Factory’s team, this year’s event will be just as exciting as the years past. iF’s business accelerator program has always been a catalyst for change and an integral part of MIP’s eco-system. We know therefore that pitches and business ideas will once again highlight the talented and innovative business community of the city of Hamilton.

To the participants we say, be bold and think global!
