Sacha Babic, Partner @GowlingWLG

Sacha Babic is a partner in Gowling WLG’s Hamilton office where he is a member of the senior management team and head of the Corporate Commercial and the Real Estate & Lending practice groups.

He acts for and advises private sector clients of all sizes – from startups to multinationals – in respect of all aspects of corporate and commercial law, with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, corporate organization & restructuring, and private equity.

Aaron Goldstein, Associate @ Gowling WLG

An associate lawyer in Gowling WLG’s Hamilton office, Aaron is a member of the firm’s Business Law Group. His practice focuses on general corporate law, private M&A, as well as asset-backed financing. As part of his practice, Aaron regularly acts for a wide array of clients ranging from large international banks to local start-ups.

Derek Sheppard, Associate @ Gowling WLG

Derek Sheppard is an associate in Gowling WLG’s Hamilton office, practising in the Intellectual Property Group.

Derek’s practice focuses on drafting and prosecution of applications for patents before the Canadian Intellectual Property Office. He advises on patentability, patent validity, freedom-to-operate, and patent infringement issues. Derek also drafts and reviews IP related aspects of agreements (e.g., non-disclosure, employment, consulting, joint venture, purchase, license, and assignment), and performs due diligence on IP assets in support of transactions.
