Seminar focuses on attracting and retaining top employees

The Innovation Factory, Hamilton’s Regional Innovation Centre, is hosting a seminar designed to help small and medium enterprises focus on innovation-based growth strategies.

Keynote speaker Kim Benedict, an adviser in the recruitment and talent acquisition industry, will speak on the significance of employee retention through increased productivity, employee loyalty and strong organizational cultures.

Afterward, a panel of accomplished business owners and advisers will discuss their experiences and the role attracting and retaining employees plays in their businesses. Sean Stanleigh, editor of The Globe and Mail’s Report on Small Business will moderate the panel featuring Mary Ann Dunlop (MA Dunlop & Associates), Jennifer McCleary (DeGroote School of Business) and Deborah Schubert (St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton).
