New hockey stick sleeve cuts taping time

Being a hockey dad, Lee Wright always took the 15 minutes needed to tape up his kids’ sticks. He knew hockey tape only lasts a couple games.

“Tape just really sucks. It doesn’t hold on like it used to,” he said.

And there wasn’t anything better — until he invented it.

His creation, Sniper Skin, is a lightweight plastic sleeve that easily slides onto a hockey stick and instantly shrinks when it’s run under hot water.
