A MESSAGE FROM THE CEO
When Innovation Factory opened its doors in 2010, the region’s
innovation landscape looked different. With its diverse industrial legacy
and expanding network of academic institutions, the greater Halton-
Hamilton area was ready for something new. We emerged to fill a critical
gap—supporting entrepreneurs and providing access to the expertise,
connections, and guidance they needed to bring their innovations to
market.
Throughout our 15-year journey, we have supported over 3,600 Ontario
businesses spanning advanced manufacturing, clean tech, information
technology, life sciences, smart transportation, and social innovations.
These companies have collectively raised over $1.2 billion in funding,
generated over $732 million in revenues, and created more than 8,500
jobs—transforming the Brant, Halton, Hamilton, Norfolk and surrounding
regions into a hub of innovation.
Our work goes beyond acceleration—we’re ecosystem builders. Through
sector-focused networks like the Synapse Life Science Consortium, the
Centre for Integrated Transportation and Mobility, and Femtech Canada,
we amplify opportunities for founders and position our region as a
leader in health, mobility, and inclusive innovation.
As we look to the future, our mission remains the same: help businesses
build, connect, and grow—creating a lasting impact for our community
and beyond. Thank you for trusting us to be your partner in innovation.
