Henry Beckett and Geordie Stewart have joined the Innovation Factory team as our new Client Services Manager and Client Services Analyst/MBA Co-op.
Client Services Manager, Henry, graduated Cum Laude from Harvard University and has spent much of his life as a serial entrepreneur. He has founded and managed businesses in the music, art, and entertainment technology spaces, serving such clients as Miramax, ABC, Vivendi Universal Games, American Greetings, the Chicago Tribune and the Toronto Sun. He is passionate about finding and developing improved solutions to problems, and believes that successful startups can come from anyone anywhere who figures out a better way to do something and is willing to buckle down and execute!
In his personal time he enjoys playing piano, music composition and production projects when they come up, and is also an avid squash, backgammon, and platform tennis player.
Client Services Analyst & MBA Co-op student, Geordie, hails from McMaster University where he is currently completing his MBA at the Degroote School of Business. Prior to this, he was a PhD researcher at McMaster on a quest to find new antibiotics and combat the growing threat of microbial resistance. Geordie endeavours to work at the interface of the life sciences, entrepreneurship and economics, believing that the way forward for healthcare will depend on innovations that strike a balance between the motivations of investors and the needs of society.
Of particular interest, is the field of personalized medicine, which is poised to capitalize on the proliferation of mobile applications. When not engaged in these pursuits, Geordie can be found on stages at home in Hamilton and across the country, performing as an independent musician and advocate for the arts. He is a fan of all things creative, be it arts or science, and relishes opportunities to bring discoveries to market.
