Agenda
Join us for a brief breakfast and networking at 8AM.
Don’t miss the opening remarks to kickstart your morning and lead us into our keynote presentation.
Speaker: Tanuvi Bali | PwC | Senior Manager, Data & AI
Keynote Details: Artificial Intelligence is often wrapped in layers of jargon that can make it feel like there’s a high barrier to entry. In this presentation, we’re pulling back the curtain to create an accessible space where we move past the buzzwords to understand what AI actually is—and what it isn’t. You’ll learn how to leverage these tools in your work and business without feeling like you need a computer science degree to get started. No gatekeeping, no intimidating “tech-speak,” just a clear look at how to make AI work for you.
A 10 minute Q&A has been allotted during this session from 9:50am – 10:00am
Speaker: Dr. Kelly Dore | Founder & VP of Science and Innovation | Acuity Insights; Adjunct Professor | McMaster University
Moderator: Thanh Ho | Account Director | Operatic Agency
Session Details: As the world becomes more automated, your uniquely human perspective becomes your greatest competitive advantage. Your ability to lead, empathize, and advocate for value is the actual engine of innovation. This discussion isn’t about learning a new technical skill, it’s about recognizing that your “soft skills” are the hard skills required to lead in the future of work.
A 10 minute Q&A has been allotted during this session from 10:30am – 10:40am
A brief intermission to stretch, recharge, and connect with fellow attendees.
Panelists:
Argentina Beltran | CEO | InclusifAI
Katherine Gardhouse | Founder and CEO | innermap & eFIT Institute
Mackensey Bacon | Co-Founder and CEO | NodeAI
Moderator: Theresa Evanoff | Executive Director | Global Angel Investor Network (GAIN)
Session Details: Hear from a panel of innovators as they share their entrepreneurial journeys, reflecting on how they transitioned from reacting to tech trends to proactively driving their own success. We will explore how to build an “innovation culture” where teams feel safe to adapt and experiment. By tying together technical tools and human-centric skills, our panelists will demonstrate how they lead their businesses through change. Being an innovator isn’t about having all the answers, it’s about having the proactive perspective to lead through whatever comes next.
A 10 minute Q&A has been allotted during this session from 11:45am – 11:55am
Thank you for joining Innovation Factory’s 2026 HERhalton Women in Business Breakfast.

Katherine Gardhouse
Founder and CEO, innermap & eFIT Institute
Dr. Katherine Gardhouse is driven by a clear conviction: that emotional health is not peripheral to human well-being, it is foundational, and it can be systematically developed. Her work centers on understanding how deeply ingrained emotional patterns, often shaped by trauma and lived experience, block people from accessing their agency, clarity, and authentic self. She brings a combination of clinical depth and systems thinking, focused on building solutions that don’t just manage symptoms, but create lasting change.
Katherine is a Clinical and Health Psychologist with a Ph.D. from the University of Toronto, Assistant Professor at McMaster University, Founder of eFIT Institute, where she developed a world-class and integrated biopsychosocial model of care combining psychotherapy, somatic work, physical training, nutrition, and the healing power of community and human relationship into care, and the CEO of innermap.ai. Her work challenges the limitations of traditional, fragmented and symptom-based approaches to mental health, instead advancing a comprehensive system designed to rewire maladaptive emotional patterns at their root.
At Innermap, Katherine is building tools and teams to scale emotional intelligence and transform how individuals and clinicians understand and work with human emotion. Innermap emerged from real-world clinical application when patients started using “innermap” as a verb to describe the process of understanding themselves. Her vision is to make deep emotional understanding accessible, interrupt the trajectory from trauma to disorder, and equip both individuals and clinicians with the tools to create meaningful, sustained change, at a moment when AI makes this possible at scale.
