Startup Canada is dedicated to supporting early-stage founders as they navigate the Canadian entrepreneurship landscape. Through annual programming, Startup Canada provides essential resources, community, and guidance to help entrepreneurs grow.

Specifically designed to support women-identifying entrepreneurs in Canada, the Startup Women Program offers valuable opportunities to connect with key ecosystem leaders and like-minded peers. This free program features topic-focused webinars, industry advisory circles, and meetings with Startup Women leaders, creating a supportive environment for women, including those in the trans community, at the beginning of their business journey or managing a side hustle.

Meet the Speaker

Isabel Nolan
Director of Programs at Startup Canada

Isabel Nolan brings a wealth of experience and passion for entrepreneurship to her role as the Director of Programs at Startup Canada. Born in Dublin, Ireland, and now based in Vancouver, Isabel has been deeply involved in the entrepreneurial community since 2019. Her journey began with Volition, where she organized pitch nights and gained first-hand experience with the challenges and successes of founders. At Startup Canada, Isabel curates entrepreneur-centric programs, including the Startup Women Program and the Startup Women Advocacy Network (SWAN), which supports 13 early-stage, women-identifying entrepreneurs across Canada.

The Synapse Life Science Competition combines the ideas and research of life science innovators with the intellect and strategy of students. Finalists receive training, mentorship, a $2,000 grant and a chance to pitch and compete for BIG cash prizes!
