Mobile Start App Video Pitch Competition – Business Model and Market Entry
June 4, 2014 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
The McMaster W Booth School of Engineering Practice, in partnership with Innovation Factory, is launching a series of events to support start-ups in the mobile application sector. They will be bringing the best of the best to the City of Hamilton to share with the community their experiences developing apps, validating their ideas, marketing, and raising funds.
Video Pitch Competition
In conjunction with this series, they will be holding an online video pitch competition where students from McMaster University and Mohawk College with an app idea can post a 2 minute video on YouTube which we will then upload to our website for voting. The winner will receive representation on our website, as well as a cash prize to help push their idea forward. Click here for more info and to register.
This workshop will look at “What is the right business model and how can you roll it out?”
- How do you structure your business model and value proposition to help you with marketing?
- How do you go about marketing your mobile app and getting people to use it?
- What sources of funding are available and what are the expectations of investors?
