Grants 101 with Pocketed

June 24 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Innovation is the backbone of our economy, yet Canadian entrepreneurs struggle to secure applicable funding for their business. Sourcing, applying, and obtaining upfront cash in an outdated industry leaves grant funding underutilized.

Pocketed’s Grants 101 session will show you the ins and outs of the grant landscape in Canada, providing expert tips and tricks from those who work with grant funding every day. Leave feeling like a grant expert yourself, equipped with the knowledge to secure that juicy grant and fund your next project!

This session is open to anyone looking to learn the basics of grant funding; whether you’re the founder of an early-stage startup, an organizational leader in a small business, or you simply have a business idea, Grants 101 will have something for you.

Ben Walter – Digital Marketing Specialist @Pocketed
As a founding team member and the Digital Marketing Specialist at Pocketed, Ben knows firsthand the critical difference grant funding can create for small businesses. With over $2.9B available to Canadian businesses every year from grant funding, his team is on a mission to power economic growth by democratizing access to non-dilutive funding. With experience in acquisition marketing at eCommerce companies such as Indochino, he has helped to quickly scale Pocketed across the Canadian market, bringing new value to an established ecosystem.
