CAFÉ E-Xpress Morning Lecture Series #6

April 14, 2015 @ 7:30 am - 9:00 am

The CAFÉ E-Xpress morning lecture series is bringing McMaster engineering alumni, students and faculty together for expressions of interest in a changing technical world. Invited alumni and professors will speak about current topics related to career trajectory, hot flashes in the lab and ideas that spark!

McMaster Engineering is on the move to bring you these talks to Hamilton’s McMaster Innovation Park and Burlington’s Ron Joyce Centre. We have organized 6 sessions of these morning lecture series this year! Join us for a continental breakfast, networking and engaging speakers!

Session #6 will feature Dr. Art Heidebrecht, Director, W Booth School of Engineering Practice, speaking on leadership, innovation and creativity in the practice of engineering.

Dr. Heidebrecht will lead an interactive discussion on the importance of enhanced professional skills and competencies in the practice of engineering. These include leadership, creativity, critical thinking, teamwork, communication and the exercising of wisdom. He will explore key proficiencies valued in the marketplace which can be demonstrated by a professional engineer equipped with a rich, innovative education and inspired perspective.

Cafe E-Xpress sessions are open for anyone in the community to attend!
