April Lunch & Learn: Embrace the Disruption – How Agile Managers Keep Their Teams Performing
April 28 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Join us for Innovation Factory’s April “Bring Your Own Lunch” and Learn session and hear from Ian Levitt who will help your business stay productive during these challenging times.
Businesses that thrive and survive in today’s world are those that can embrace the inevitable disruption that will take place and manage through it with agility. With changes to workstyles that include more remote and work-at-home employees, the call for agility just increases.
There is an ever-growing list of tools that promise to enable collaboration and promote sharing of information to ease the pains of team management. While these do present some terrific options for enabling remote working and coordinating work tasks, they are not, in themselves a solution to the challenges of keeping great talent engaged and motivated through what might be transformational changes.
Success requires maintaining the right balance between:
1. the people involved,
2. the tools they have to get their job done,
3. and a shared understanding of how they will work together to reach the desired outcome.
Underlying all of this is the foundation on which success or failure is truly determined: effective communication.
Recent events have only served to shed a light on how ill- or well-equipped company leaders feel they are to deal with disruption and change. Top of mind for many is:
• Making the shift to having some or all team members working remotely
• Keeping the team motivated to do their best work and aligned to the company’s vision
• Maintaining company culture and creating a positive workplace environment
This session will explore how managers can keep the lines of communication open and flowing within their companies and adapt to the challenges that might otherwise prevent their teams from successfully delivering on company goals.
