At Argentum, we build touch-safe “high voltage (450V)” direct current (DC) power distribution systems for LED lighting in commercial buildings, which reduce energy consumption by a third and double service life. This technology is covered by 5 granted patents, and we refer to it as “Digital Current”. Our system combines the benefits of low voltage wiring practices with the benefits of high-voltage Alternating Current (AC) systems, making it a better option than other low voltage systems, such as Power over Ethernet (PoE), for high power needs. Our products typically get installed next to a main electrical panel and connect directly to most types of LED fixtures. The system works for both new build and retrofit projects.
