Trend Trunk tries crowd funding for size

Sean Snyder came away from the Dragons’ Den a bit scorched, but not incinerated.

Snyder, founder of Trend Trunk, was asking the venture capitalists on the popular CBC reality series for $200,000 for 20 per cent of his company. Trend Trunk (trendtrunk.com) is an online marketplace where consumers can buy, sell and donate their fashionable clothing and accessories.

It was one of the most fire-breathing of dragons — Kevin O’Leary — who agreed to the deal, but in the months since the episode was filmed in April, Snyder said the deal didn’t proceed.
