Meet Hamilton’s new Lions. They’re the entrepreneurs who’ll judge pitches to the 2016 Lion’s Lair competition, a contest hosted by the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce and Innovation Factory.

Mario Paron (KPMG), Michael Macaluso (CARSTAR), Cheri Chevalier (Microsoft) and Tonia Jahshan (Steeped Tea) return from last year. Julie Ellis, co-founder of Mabel’s Labels, is new this year.

McMaster business professor Nick Bontis is emcee. Applications for the contest closed April 29. The first 15 finalists will be announced in the first week of June. On Sept. 29, winners of more than $100,000 in cash and in-kind prizes will be announced during a gala at Carmen’s.
