Accessibility project work ramped up

A plan to build more than 250 ramps to make downtown homes and businesses more accessible is rolling along nicely.

More than a dozen volunteers gathered at the Hamilton Tool Library over the long weekend to launch their ambitious project to install hundreds of the affordable ramps across the downtown.

The nonprofit will provide the ramps to those in need for $25, said Halden Sproule, the tool library’s founder and executive director.
