Ron Neumann
Executive Director
A passionate Hamiltonian and Systems Engineer graduate of the University of Waterloo, Ron has tremendous experience in running successful start-up companies, including Maple Software, LivePage, SlipStream Data Inc. and Dejero Labs. One of the original Entrepreneurs in Residence at Communitech in Waterloo, Ron also has years of experience in mentoring entrepreneurs.

Scott Smith
Director of Operations
Scott is a seasoned management executive operating within the ranks of senior management and boards of directors. Scott has spent over 20 years in the senior ranks of both public and private sector entities, focusing on maximizing the returns of experience in dealing with operational, administrative, legal and HR matters related to the successful management and growth of businesses. A lawyer by training, Scott earned his law degree at Queens University and a Bachelor of Arts, with Distinction, from the University of Toronto.

David Carter
Chief Technology Officer-In-Residence
David is the former CTO and co-founder of Awareness Inc. He is enthusiastic about the technologies, processes, and team building and their measurable impact on a company. David will tell you his sweet spot is where technology, sales and marketing intersect, and also warn you that new technology does not always solve the problem. Before founding Awareness inc., Dave worked as an Internet Strategy Manager at Microsoft.

Robin Hopper
Entrepreneur-in-Residence
A serial entrepreneur, Robin has been Founder and CEO of several venture backed start-up companies, the most recent of which was Awareness, Inc. – a pioneer in the social media marketing space. Working with entrepreneurs and companies now allows Robin to leverage his extensive operational experience in raising angel and venture capital, product strategy, marketing and scaling organizations.

Bernard Lim

As the resident health and life sciences Executive-in-Residence, Bernard has an outstanding track record of leading strategic development and innovation, driving change to achieve exceptional performance improvements and growth which span multiple industry sectors including biotechnology, medical devices, diagnostics, electronics and high technology within both start-ups and corporate multinationals across US, Canada and Europe.

Peter Smith
Executive-in-Residence
Peter Smith is a 32 year veteran of the information technology industry having held senior management roles in sales, professional services and operations in Canada and the US. When not assisting Innovation Factory clients, Peter leads his own management consulting company, The Meaford Group Inc, and serves on the Boards of CSDC Systems, gShiftLabs and Headcount Corporation.

Tammy Hwang
Experience Manager
Tammy is a passionate Hamiltonian and Mac Commerce graduate, before joining the iF team she spent four years in South China working for a number of industries ranging from Financial Services to Green Technology. She loves cars and billiards and don’t get her started on the Toronto Raptor’s performance this year.

Emily Kinread
Marketing & Communications Manager
Emily has spent the past several years working to create marketing and communications strategies for corporate and franchise organizations, both large and small. She is a Wilfrid Laurier University graduate, having specialized in communications and business administration. In her free time, Emily is a hockey addict, and a former dog fosterer, turned dog parent, to Stella, her two-year-old rotti-lab.

Andrea Galante
Executive Assistant / Office Manager
A life-long Hamiltonian, Andrea is excited to be working at iF helping entrepreneurs and innovators bring their ideas to reality. Prior to joining iF, Andrea spent over 14 years in the financial services/wealth management sector. As well as working in investments, over the course of her career Andrea has worked in business development, been a part of an award winning client services department, and as a third generation entrepreneur, ran her own small business. At Innovation Factory she uses her organizational skills to ensure the office runs effectively.

Tyler Wright
Business Development Coordinator
Tyler is a graduate of McMaster University earning an Honours BA in Economics and Communication Studies and was the valedictorian of his class. A catalyst for organizational change and advocate for innovation-based growth, Tyler applies his skills in organizational analysis, strategic planning, change management, and organizational alignment to initiatives that improve education and support the development of organizations within the Hamilton region.

Shawn McTigue
Client Services Analyst, Co-Op student
Shawn is a recent graduate of McMaster University, earning his Honours Commerce Degree, with a focus in marketing and entrepreneurship. He has previously held co-op positions at Burlington Camera and Trimac Transportation, and was one of the founders of a startup company that won second prize at Hamilton Startup Weekend 2 and third place at Lion’s Lair 2012. He also recently initiated an entrepreneurial community at McMaster University and hopes it will educate and support many passionate entrepreneurs-to-be.

Kyle Lubieniecki
Client Services Coordinator, summer intern
Kyle is an Honors Business Administration Candidate at the Richard Ivey School of Business. Studying Media, Information, and Technoculture at Western University, Kyle developed a strong interest in all things digital. Passionate about both media and technological innovation, Kyle founded a media production company, and is currently working on a technology start-up that aims to solve the problems faced with online shopping. Kyle's interests lie in entrepreneurship, cinematography, and technological innovation.
