If you have an idea that you’d like to turn into a company, there are many ways iF can help you move it along through our five startup stages
Discover, Define, Design, Launch and Leverage.

Start By Checking Out Our Resources

A good place to start is by taking a quick look through the MaRS Entrepreneurship Toolkit. It includes useful advice on many aspects of forming and running a startup. It will help you hone your thinking about the business side of getting your startup off the ground.

You can also look through the Resources section of this website for content that can point you in the right direction.

Take a Look at What Entrepreneurs Are Doing with Us

Our Factory Five section features five minute videos of entrepreneurs presenting their concepts to eager, knowledgeable audiences. This may give you an idea of how it’s done – and how you might do it too!

Networking events – and there are many – are a great way to meet with entrepreneurs, funders, suppliers and others with similar interests. Check out our Calendar of Events for events like Lunch n’ Learn or Café iF. Our Community Competitions such as LiON’s LAIR and Startup Hamilton provide encouragement, exposure and – for winners – a package of support. You can find out more in our Cultivation Programs section. The most important thing is to get started somewhere. Come out to an event; meet us and become an active part of Hamilton’s Innovation Community.

Look at Our Programs

Our Flight Program takes on clients who have an innovative idea and are ready to move to the next stage. If you feel you’re ready to take the next step, fill out our Client Intake Form, and we’ll get in touch with you.
