SRED: Government Funding for Tech-Based Businesses with BDO
April 23 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am
On April 23rd, Rick Burdeniuk, a Senior Manager from BDO Canada LLP, will be offering an educational session and COVID-19 related updates on “Government Funding for Tech-Based Businesses”. This session will provide an explanation of how government funding programs work, and where to find them. Rick will cover why some applicants are more successful than others and provided a curated introduction to key programs you can access as your business matures.
Richard specializes in government programs that fund growth and innovation. He has 12 years of experience helping companies across Canada access over $150M. His experience in entrepreneurship and R&D helps him appreciate an owner operator’s bottom line while working within the conventions accountants and lawyers require. The Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) program is just one of the many government programs and Richard has worked with. He has participated at every level from CRA policy development to tax court, and he has managed CRA relations in over a hundred reviews.
As an entrepreneur Richard made open-source code contributions and developed software technologies for distributed computation, scientific simulation, image recognition, and web-based systems.
