Given the precarious situation brought on by the global COVID-19 pandemic, many organizations have turned to digital communication methods to remain operational as the majority of the working population does so from home.

Video conferencing is an incredibly effective tool that can be used to support ongoing communications both internally and externally. LURA Consulting has firsthand experience in maintaining ongoing engagement with clients and their stakeholders using video conferencing during these trying times.

To help share our expertise, LURA is hosting a webinar to offer insights to help you run better virtual meetings. We also want to make sure your participants aren’t left thinking, “could this meeting have been an email instead?”.
This webinar will provide you with useful tips and tricks to organize and facilitate an online meeting using Zoom. In this webinar, you will be shown:

• How to think about the meeting format, and setting an agenda
• Ways to enhance your meeting
• User tips and tricks
• Pitfalls to avoid!
• Digital facilitation tips

Feel free to reach out to us before or after the webinar to ask questions about what you’ll learn or for clarity on anything you learned. We’re here to help!

James Knott, Director of Strategy @LURA Consulting

James has been with LURA for eight years, and a resident of Hamilton since 2015. While his work sees him travelling throughout Ontario (mostly in the GTHA), James has worked on a number of projects locally involving the City of Hamilton, Mohawk College, McMaster University, the City of Burlington, Hamilton Conservation Authority, Conservation Halton, and others. Through this, he has helped to design and facilitate countless in-person meetings and workshops with clients. More recently, James has helped clients pivot project meetings and workshops to the virtual space – a relatively new and uncharted territory for many.
